Our good friend Jack in the Box found his better half in this fantasy wedding cake topper made out of wood! Him and Jill are popping out of their single, cohabitated fairytale box ready for their reception and nursery rhyme history!
Newly wedded Mr. & Mrs. Box (of the Toyland Boxes) are made just about 100% from wood ... giving them a neat look and feel, an ironic touch of rusticness coupled with a surprising amount of detail and sophistication. Jack is in a traditional four in hand tie with circles and spots and a big top hat. Jill has a sweetheart neckline and her curley, wavey hair (also out of wood!) is crowned with a REAL, white tulle veil. They are both sporting their traditional fun collars and holding hands. Except for their silver (read white) faces / heads they are both colored from head to, box? Yes, box as well in the spectrum of colors, a multi mix of metalllic and others, copper, bronze, blues, greens, gold, silver, etc... at a distance of even just arms length it gives the overall effect of a kind of iridescence ... I designed this so the color scheme would go great with just about ANY possible cake colors!
This caketopper IS it's own base, sturdy too -- the box goes directly on the cake -- a hole or two is drilled in the bottom (the box is solid) of this topper which and comes with appropriate wood dowels that simply get inserted into the bottom of the topper and then into the cake! Best part is when done with the frosted life the dowels pop out and you have a very flat surface again so Jack and Jill can sit on your mantelpiece or anywhere else quite nicely! Measurements (approx.): 6 3/4" high (from bottom of box to top of groom's hat), 3 1/2" wide, 2 1/2" deep, the box is about 1 3/4" square and the veil about 4" long. And yes! These are indeed light enough for pretty much any cake out there.
